Biodegradable dinnerware made with fallen leaves

“True to the Earth.” At Verterra, we believe that being environmentally responsible is good business. In every aspect of our dinnerware’s manufacture, sustainability is mission one.

Verterra’s biodegradable dinnerware is made from fallen palm leaves. No trees are cut down to obtain the leaves, which would normally be burned. The leaves are processed with steam, heat, pressure, and UV sterilization to create durable lightweight plates that are oven-safe, microwaveable, and water and sun resistant. There are no adhesives, waxes, dyes, or any other chemical used in the manufacturing of this stylish compostable palm leaf dinnerware.

For seven years now Chefs’ Consortium has featured its farm-to-table inspired cuisine on Verterra plates to audiences throughout New York state. The Consortium’s mission is to not only promote local food producers but also locally based New York companies like Verterra.  We also strive to promote sustainably sourced products. All of Verterra’s products are made with renewable resources like palm leaves and are one hundred percent compostable.
